Europcar Australia and Accor Asia Pacific commit to new three-year partnership

Long-term industry partners, Europcar Australia and Accor Asia Pacific, have extended their partnership by announcing a new three-year deal and even stronger benefits for loyalty club members.

The partnership provides reciprocal exclusive savings and offers all year round to Europcar and Accor customers and employees, making Europcar’s Privilege Program the only vehicle rental loyalty program in Australia to offer partner benefits with an accommodation provider.

Europcar Managing Director, Ron Santiago, said Europcar Australia’s relationship with Accor Asia Pacific spanned more than a decade and provided an important point of difference for Europcar.

“Europcar Australia is the only vehicle rental provider in Australia that provides partner benefits through a loyalty program and our relationship with Accor is extremely important to us,” Mr Santiago said.

“The partnership enables us to offer great benefits to customers through our Privilege Program, while providing a compelling offering to Accor’s Le Club and Advantage Plus members who have shown their appreciation by regularly choosing to rent with Europcar.

“We are looking forward to working closely with Accor for the next three years, continuing to support one another to achieve our business goals and partnering on innovative and integrated promotions and incentives.”

As part of the partnership, Europcar’s Privilege members are automatically eligible for elevated membership in Accor’s Le Club program, while Accor customers earn 250 Le Club Accor hotel points every time they rent with Europcar.

Accor Pacific Chief Operating Officer, Simon McGrath, said the partnership with Europcar was a natural fit, with both companies sharing a similar heritage and culture.

“Europcar and Accor both originated in France and have gone on to become industry leaders across the globe,” Mr McGrath said. “Most importantly, we share the same company culture and goals: Accor and Europcar are
both committed to customer service, environmental sustainability and providing an extensive range of quality products and services at a competitive price.”

The announcement coincides with Europcar and Accor’s exciting promotion to celebrate the world premiere of King Kong in Melbourne. In partnership with Virgin Airlines, Europcar and Accor are running a competition for a luxury weekend away in Melbourne, including tickets and a backstage tour to King Kong.

“The King Kong competition is just one example of Europcar and Accor working together to offer exciting and unique experiences to our customers,” Mr Santiago said. “We have a long history with Accor and we are constantly working together to come up with innovative joint campaigns and initiatives to ensure our customers and our employees get the most out of the partnership, providing them with a true travel experience.”

Accor is also a partner of Team Europcar, which is preparing to compete in the 2013 Tour de France in the event’s centenary year.
